About Me

This is Rokon. I am a Computer Science PhD student at Louisiana State University, advised by Dr. Reza Anaraky in the ACT Lab. My research lies at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human-AI Interaction, and Privacy, with a current focus on quantifying the cognitive burden of UI dark patterns on older adults using EEG.

Previously, I was an R&D Software Engineer at Frontier Semiconductor (Milpitas, CA), where I built CUDA-accelerated metrology software shipped to TSMC, Intel, SK Hynix, and Texas Instruments. I earned my B.Sc. in CSE from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

I am actively looking for Summer 2026 internship opportunities.

ChatGPT versus Bard: A Comparative Study
ChatGPT versus Bard: A Comparative Study

Imtiaz Ahmed, Mashrafi Kajol, Uzma Hasan, Partha Protim Datta, Ayon Roy, Md Rokonuzzaman Reza

Engineering Reports (Wiley) 2024 Wiley Journal

A comparative study evaluating ChatGPT and Bard across multiple dimensions including reasoning, factual accuracy, code generation, and contextual understanding. Provides empirical evidence on the relative strengths and limitations of each large language model for downstream tasks.

Towards Designing Intuitive Mobile UIs Considering Tapping Behaviour of Elderly Users

Md Rokonuzzaman Reza, Md Shadman Aadeeb, Shaqran Bin Saleh, Muhammad Nazrul Islam

Springer DIGICOM 2023 2023 DIGICOM Conference

An empirical study of how older adults interact with mobile interfaces through tapping. Identifies patterns in tap accuracy, target size preferences, and gesture comfort, then derives design guidelines for elderly-friendly mobile UIs.
